Resources

This section brings together materials that sit alongside my research and teaching: explanations of key concepts, longer-form writing, and interactive demonstrations. They are intended as different ways into the same set of questions about complexity, cybernetics, emergence, information, and collective behaviour.

Some resources provide orientation before encountering a technical idea; others invite experimentation or develop a line of thought beyond the format of a research paper. You can browse them independently or move between them as related concepts appear across the site.

Three ways to explore

The three collections serve different purposes: build a conceptual vocabulary, follow an argument or reflection, or interact directly with a model or activity.

Glossary

A growing guide to concepts and methods drawn from cybernetics, complexity science, mathematics, physics, computation, and related fields. Entries emphasise not only definitions, but also how ideas connect across disciplinary boundaries.

Writing

Essays, reflections, and commentary that develop ideas outside the conventions of formal academic publication. Some pieces live on this site, while others link to writing published through universities, collaborators, or external outlets.

Interactive Demos

Browser-based demonstrations developed across my research and teaching. Change an initial condition, parameter, or rule and observe how local interactions reorganise the larger system.
